1) Project Manager – Pittsburgh, PA Project Manager - Pittsburgh, PA

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the activities of a diverse group of individuals to accomplish the successful realization of our Customer’s project within the defined budget and time frame.  This person will work out of our business office on Pittsburgh’s Northside.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creates the project timeline with all major milestones clearly defined.
  • Responsible for identifying areas that are falling behind schedule and requisitioning additional resources be applied to get the project back on schedule.
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by project team members before they are submitted to the customers.
  • Responsible for minimizing cost overruns – whether it be material or labor.
  • Ensures that all project documentation for Factory Acceptance is complete and accurate
  • Responsible for managing the project’s budget.
  • Follow up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
  • Understand basic revenue models, P/L, and cost to completion projections.
  • Responsible for understanding all internal procedures as well as all facets of estimating programs, capabilities, etc.
  • Responsible for effectively communicating project status to Customers as well as Supervisors.
  • Effectively utilizes each member of the project team to his/her fullest potential.
  • Sets and manages client expectations.
  • Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
  • Responsible for communication of project changes to the appropriate parties and ensuring changes have been carried out – both internal and external changes.
  • Responsible for managing the Factory Acceptance test protocol.
  • Responsible for coordinating any on-site job requirements related to defined project – SAT, commissioning, shipping, etc.
  • May require travel to customer or vendor sites.

 

Education and/or Experience Required:  Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or equivalent combination of education and experience. Background in Project Manager preferred. Certified Project Manager is a plus.

Tools and Technology Skills: Strong computer skills including ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint as a minimum) to analyze data and trends. Ability to learn and effectively utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) business process management software.

English Language Skills: Read and interpret documents such as drawings, quotations, bill of materials and detailed job instructions. Write routing reports and correspondence. Speak and project a professional image.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with and apply advanced mathematical concepts.

Problem Solving: Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving defined variables.

2) Business Development Manager -  Pittsburgh, PA Project Manager - Pittsburgh, PA

Job Description: 

Will promote and develop the business in North America. This person will be fully responsible for the process from lead to order.  This person will work out of our business office on Pittsburgh’s Northside.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting: Develop lists of potential customers in a defined geographical calling area through cold calling and sales leads.
  • Presentations: Be able to put forward systems and services centered on expanding the current business base. Visit, in person, existing or prospective accounts on a regular basis.
  • Supply information regarding market price and competitive activities. Keep the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and documentation files current and organized according the corporate sales procedures.
  • Manage payment terms, ‘Terms and Conditions’ and delivery schedule negotiations.
  • Develop annual Sales Action Plan to target potential customers and growth with existing ones.
  • Maintain contact with current customer base.
  • Maintain and increase current sales volume for his/her region by continually working with new and existing customer base.
  • Maintain desired gross profit level acceptable to the corporation.
  • Keep abreast of the technical aspects of the product lines.
  • Provide necessary training to distribution base, OEM’s, A&E’s & End Users.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints when required.
  • Authorize return of goods (RGA’s) as deemed necessary.
  • Target new and existing markets and formulate plan to sell in these areas.
  • Travel in assigned region and others as required.
  • Prepare, submit and review call reports.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, training seminars and trade shows as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent training, education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills necessary
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • A valid driver’s license with no driving restrictions in North America.
  • A valid passport and ability and willingness to travel to throughout North America and possibly to France.
